Mu Alpha Sigma, Inc.
Martial Artists Sorority
As a sisterhood of professional martial artists on a collective mission to empower the communities where we live and interact, our goal is to help enhance the lives in the communities where we serve. We seek to accelerate residents' efforts to be self-sufficient, self-determined, and supported in reaching new heights.
We accomplish our mission initiatives through workshops that uplift, educate, and inspire others to thrive, share tips and techniques for managing stress and guarding their personal safety, support outreach programs (i.e., adult reading lessons) that open new doors of opportunities, donate scholarships for continued education, support health initiatives, and more. To learn how you can become a member* of this amazing organization, please click the "Learn More" button and complete the Info Form.

Sorors, our "Super Power" is fully charged!
As a community service organization, Mu Alpha Sigma, Inc., has served in various areas within the communities where we live and interact since inception: food pantries, domestic violence shelters, backpacks for kids, clothing and toiletries distributions, personal safety workshops, items for cancer survivors, STEM program donations, adult literacy training, and more. However, as we enter into our seventh year of service in January of 2025, we will forge our mission forward with greater clarity because we are now in proper alignment with our unique gift - our martial arts skills.
As united Sorors, our combined "super powers" are better utilized to carry out (and carry forward) our mission. Understanding that training extends beyond our respective styles because the totality of martial arts includes fitness training, internal training (like Tai Chi), confidence and character building, relaxation training, personal safety training, de-escalation training, self-esteem building, anti-bullying training, and more, we are greatly positioned to enhance the lives of others on a long-term basis. So, as Mu Alpha Sigma, Inc., marches forward into the future, get ready for even greater service!
With "The Year of Integration" as our theme for 2025, let us agree that we will fully integrate all of our yearly themes in order to maximize the effective execution of our Super Power. Yet, such integration is only effective if we, individually and collectively, agree to continue learning and working to improve our own lives. Remember: service is not our sole purpose - it's our soul's purpose. As we engage our mission intentionally, fearlessly, and gracefully, we will walk bolder and more confidently into communities with our "Super Power" fully charged!
We are the proud sisters of Mu Alpha Sigma, Inc.
We care. We serve. We empower.
